Here are the latest updates from Jerry!

#1  After a late night we got up early and are now at the Warsaw airport - waiting for our flight to Munich and then Frankfurt...

#2  Our plane from Munich to Frankfurt ended up 1 1/2 hours late! So we missed our train to Cologne but didn't worry abut it, just had God's peace and He had another surprise waiting for us! We should arrive in Cologne at 4:40 pm and then a couple hours drive to Duren. Our time here in Duren is short but everything God has been doing is miraculous, so we are trusting Him for this last leg of the journey to be the same...

At this point I had to ask Jerry what was the surprise that God had waiting!! And it was so sweet – I wrote back and asked if I could share it on the blog! All of this was such a sweet example of what God likes to do when we trust Him and when we actually live out Phil. 4: 4-9 when He says to be anxious for nothing!!  So here was his reply

#3 The surprise: we were so late that just about everybody on our plane was messed up and panicky! Some had to wait two more days to get a new set of connecting flights!  When we did land in Frankfurt they didn't have a place for our plane to park for another 20 minutes!  Then our baggage took about  25 minutes to arrive!  We had to walk another 20  minutes to our train and missed it by 2 minutes in the midst of all that!   But we thought this is getting fun because God must have something special going on that we don't know about, because He is Always Good!   We went in to see when the next train would  leave and the woman at the counter said, your tickets are non-exchangeable and non- refundable, which we knew...   She said it is not our fault you missed the train or yours either, but that's the way it is! Our new tickets cost $90 each!  So we said OK, what else can we do, we understand and are grateful for your help!  She handed us a new set of tickets, the next train was only 20 minutes away and decided to give us these new tickets for free!  Apparently she is the senior manager there and can do it!  We were really surprised and she seemed tickled with herself too!   It was fun all around and even gave us time to buy a pretzel for our lunch!   Long story but we have been blessed at every turn on this trip! What a great God!!!
