Upcoming School of Christ in Venezuela...

Many of our fellow saints at Salt and Light have had the privilege of visiting God's work in Bolivia, Columbia and Venezuela. God is doing a powerful work by the Holy Spirit through fully devoted, indigenous, Christ-followers there. A wonderful tool for evangelism and training is called the "School of Christ".
I and others here in the U.S. have gone through, not only the 8-10 hours a day of teaching, but work teams, cold showers, limited calories, and days of fasting!

It was a great experience and opportunity to discipline our childish flesh and learn how to celebrate Jesus at 5:30 in the morning with our singing, praise, petitions and utterances from the deepest part of our being. Romans 8:26,27 

Our dear friends in South America continue to gather intercessors to intercede on behalf of God's work there and petition God to raise up shepherds and servants who will serve Jesus like David, with their whole heart...Psalm 78:70-72

Our dear brother Richard Suarez, a roommate of Juan Carlos and mine in Columbia, leads the work primarily in Venezuela.  They provide the School for some of the poorest of the poor, without cost. The average expense for each of these Schools is about $2500...

I am in Colombia and next week I return to Venezuela to continue in the program of the school of Christ that we will carry out in April thanks to God so far everything is going well and doors are being opened to train and strengthen the shepherds of our country thanks for His great support and for your prayers.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls... Matthew 11:29

Heavenly Father, help us to be meek and humble as Christ was, work in our lives this wonderful gift that helps us in the difficulties of this life.

I thank my God whenever I remember you, always in all my prayers praying with joy for all of you, Philippians 1:3-4
