The Mission Trip to Ukraine has begun!
Our first day of travel... Monday April 10th: Our dear brother Steve Carlson was at our house at 4:45 am to take us to the airport on Monday! On the way we hit a deep pothole at a construction site and punctured a tire! But Steve was able to pull over and change it from Start to finish in 8 minutes! I told him he should be on an Indy pit crew!
We arrived on time at Sea-Tac Airport to a larger crowd than I had ever seen before! We whisked through the TSA line thanks to a very kind agent but when we got to the X- Ray machine everything stopped for quite awhile until they finally told us it had just broken! We were finally moved to another line where they set my carry-on aside to check it out (no guns- just kleenex pkgs) but that took a long time too before they finally told us that their computer had also just broken! I think satan was just causing trouble wherever I went! But finally they decided kleenex pkgs. were safe enough! Next our planes (We were on two separate flights) were diverted in circles around Miami to avoid a hurricane, which was good, but not without more than a few healthy bumps!
Barb Carlson reminded us on Sunday that our messes will be our message and our troubles become our testimony! We have already seen that as God intervened every time the enemy tried to interfere- what a wonderful God we have!! Sue is just going to Miami for a few days to be with Sarah's family and I am continuing on through several Countries on my way to Ukraine, where Rolfe Carwan and I will meet up and travel together for the next month or six weeks with Dr. Lev Prystupiuk...

That flat tire was a bit of a “heart attack” moment for me. The SAME DARN THING had happened 15 months ago taking my daughter to the airport before dawn. Even the same tire on the same car. THIS time, though, there was a pause in the rain, there was plenty of room to operate away from traffic, it was lit by a street light, and the OEM wrench fit the locking lug nut. Did all these helps come as a result of prayers (from Jerry and Sue, I don’t remember praying)?
[Lord, please ease the flights and connections for Jerry and Mr. Carawan. Please give them peace, and purpose, during the troubles that come along the way. They are doing hard stuff for Your Kingdom. Please give them some treats and keep them safe. Please end the war by noon.]
Dear Lord and Father of us all.
We glorify Your Name as we put our trust in You. Please fill Rolfe and Jerry with Your Spirit to carry out their mission. Give them boldness in Your love that truth will spoken in the Spirit in which you intend. Send warring angels to guard all who are involved. Bless Dr. Lev and his fellow doctors as they mine with such dedication and love for You. Fill Sue with a consciousness of Your mighty power to firstly glorify Your Holy Name and to open doors no man can open and close doors no man can close. May You arise and scatter Your enemies!! Glory and blessings and honor and praise be to You, our loving Savior.

Our God reigns in midst these attacks. So proud of Steve changing the tire. He has a beautiful heart. Serving heart moved my furniture back in my computer room.that same day. So pleased you made to Ukraine
