Shalom dear saints!  Below is the latest correspondence from a very dear friend and the senior pastor of a large region in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Kharkiv is one of the cities that has been under constant bombing since the War with Russia began and after an entire year of shelling almost half of this historic and beautiful city has been destroyed!   Yet, you can see how the courage and love of the church there has only gained momentum and impact!

Grace and peace to you, dear Jerry! As before, I was glad to receive a very warm and kind letter from you.

By the grace of God, all is well with us. Yesterday Dima and Ira had a celebration, because seven years ago their first daughter Julia was born. We all gathered together, together with Dima's parents, and wished our eldest granddaughter a happy birthday.

The Lord continues to send many unchurched people to pastors' meetings and Sunday services. Our church volunteers prepare food packages and charity lunches for them, as well as helping with clothing and furnishings. Recently we helped an elderly man whose home was burned down in a shell explosion. The church raised some funds. Several brothers cleaned up trash in the yard and are making repairs to the small house where he will be living. The man has begun attending services and has already turned to the Lord with a prayer of repentance. Praise God! Some brothers visit people who live in the war zone and help with food, drinking water, and clothing.

Jerry, if you come to Kharkov at the end of April, it would be good and convenient for us. But Lena and I ask that you answer three questions. What dates in April are you planning to be in Kharkov? Who else is coming to Kharkov with you? Will we be able to organize a conference for the pastors' families with you?   My whole family is looking forward to seeing you and sends my greetings. Give my heartfelt greetings to Sue.   With love in Jesus, Gennadii.

[Lord God, please comfort the saints in Kharkiv and other hard-hit areas. Please help them with scarce resources. Please fill them with peace and whatever joys can be uncovered. You are a good God and love these people tremendously. Please change Mr. Putin’s heart. Please end the war by noon.]

JERRY.
BECAUSE OF YOUR SERMON I FOUND YOUR LETTER ABOUT MAN WHO LOST EVERYTHING. This is amazing also because it seems in this situation this was was a huge sacrifice. They have so little to help people with. There hearts are full of kindness. Helps us remember what God has call us to do. You visit this Pastor and wife everything you go. I pray for too. I think people line to go to church there. Blessings to them
