What a joy to be able to give you an update on our two young men, Jury and Zhenya, who were critically ill and not likely to survive when we arrived on May  26th.  Glory to God, Jury returned home here at the discipleship house on Friday and went to church with us that evening - it is miraculous!  He is doing great! Zhenya's cancer blood count was at 24 and after receiving this expensive medicine they were expecting it to go down further, maybe even to zero, but instead it went up to 74.  This was devastating for the family and doctors... God gave me Mark 5:36!  So by God's grace we stood on that . . . on Saturday we received a second report - his  cancer number is zero. In the picture above, our young survivor of the burst appendix, Jury Good, is standing on the far left, with the coat and green tee shirt on.  The picure was taken Friday night at a small village church near the discipleship house. It was an extraordinary evening and these are a few of the folks who stayed for almost an hour after the Service was over just to talk and ask questions.   Jury is doing better than any one dreamed at this point and we all believe it is a miracle of God!  This morning he returned to the hospital, as planned, to clean the huge hole they put in his side and replace the bandages. That wound may be a lifelong reminder of Christ's suffering for us...   Zhenya's recovery is also miraculous at this point and we are told that the doctors are also startled at the dramatic turnaround!  (He is sitting on his bed in the picture above with a fellow cancer patient.) His bone marrow had been producing damaged and useless red/ white blood cells just a few days ago- now they are whole, healthy and a critical part of his final recovery!   We have spoken of all of your faithful prayers back home and the fasting that continues daily- God will not overlook anything that is done for His Glory!  I was especially conscience this week of Jean Rehberg, Sue Hughes and Anne Plenkovich's specific prayers for miraculous healings before we left Seattle!   Not to weary you with more miracles, but, our dear brother Taras Kushnir, who moved to Germany with his beautiful wife Suzi, wrote just before we left Seattle to please pray for his sister-in-law, Irena.  She was 7 months pregnant and had serious constipation for quite a long time.  The local doctors couldn't figure out why, so they sent her to a larger hospital for additional tests.  It turned out she had a large tumor in her intestine, and it was determined after further testing that the tumor was malignant!  The family was devastated and this raised serious questions about the unborn baby, which they ultimately decided to take early.  The baby was very small and has been kept in the ICU for the past two weeks. The doctors went ahead and removed the tumor fearing that it had spread through other parts of Irena's body. The last report we received said, the baby is healthy and has gained sufficient weight so that she is almost ready to be taken home! Mom's report was just as wonderful- they could find no cancer anywhere else after the tumor was removed!   We serve an Awesome, All Powerful God, who is full of loving compassion and with whom nothing is impossible!

What marvelous news declaring the goodness of God our merciful healer! Continuing to pray for those young men, Mom and baby that they would all thrive and grow in the Father's love for them. (also praying for little cancer patient in the picture)

Truly amazing the miracles God has provided for these young people. For me they are more inspiring than some of the other miracles we see or hear about around the world - especially Jury. To recover from such an horrendous surgery that was performed in the most archaic manner just astounds me. When you consider people here can often die of rupture appendixes while being operated on in state of the art hospitals in extremely sterile environments and receiving the newest drugs. I am just blown away that he survived this and I am convinced it is only be God's divine intervention. It is hard for me to even comprehend it all. Thanks for sharing Jerry. Praying for you and Sue as you head to Kenya. Hug Enos for me when you see him.

Miracles such as these remind me that God works immediately to answer our prayers, sometimes right before our eyes. Thank you for these huge encouragements, along with the other posts during a very busy time, Pastor Jerry.
