Things have only gotten worse in Ukraine with each passing day! There is a lack of food, medicine, shelter and warm clothing!  The Russian army has tripled in size from the original invading force. They will stop at nothing and have been attacking even residential areas.

But many miracles have also been happening!  Courage, compassion, Russian soldiers surrendering, equipment failures stopping their advance, bombs that failed to explode and people sacrificially caring for one another at great personal cost!
We continue to communicate with our friends in Russia and Ukraine many hours each day!  And your prayers and generous giving here for our brothers and sisters on the other side of the World is also having an impact!
Last Satuday we thought we had a window with the Ukrainian banks to get some financial aid to our friends in the Cities facing the biggest crises- but by Monday banks in Ukraine were completely shut down!  Yet 4 days later we have been able to get all $30,000 into those Cities with the most critical needs- Kiev, Kharkiv, Dneper and Chernivtsi!
Some are under direct shelling and others like Chernivtsi have had sporadic gunfire but are facing an avalanche of refugees and desperate need!
The Lord has provided dollars they have needed in Ukraine through business people here in the US that have funds stockpiled in Ukraine and they are willing to make those dollars available to our doctors and churches immediately as we are able to replace the same amount here in return.
Tomorrow Sue and I will be traveling to Spokane to meet with a Ukrainian/ American businessman who grew up in one of the churches in Kharkiv.  We are bringing $5,000 to replace funds already released to the churches in Kharkiv.  Later tomorrow evening we will be attending a meeting also in Spokane of the Slavic assoc. which is helping to prepare churches and families to receive Ukrainian refugees that the US is fast-tracking through our Customs system to help relieve the humanitarian crisis in Europe.
I haven't seen our boys and their families since November so we will stay there for a few additional days, but continue our ongoing communication with the saints in Ukraine and Russia...
Thank you again for your love and faithful prayers!  God is using you to save lives in the most desperate of situations...we have just begun what I believe will be a very long journey ahead but by His grace we all will be faithful until the very end!   In His love,  jerry and sue

I am happy that there are people in Russia getting accurate news from us rather than the propaganda Putin is putting on their airwaves. I am continuing to pray for ALL of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and Russia. Please tell them to take heart...each day there is more news of Oligarchs losing their wealth and in turn putting pressure on Putin to end this war. I am awed by the immense amount of courage shown by the Ukraine people. Those protesting in Russia are amazing as well..I believe that they will eventually topple Putin's regime. In closing - I pray for Putin's heart to be softened and for the end of this unprovoked war. May His grace and peace be with you and Sue while you are gone. Love anita
