After about 24 hours of travel, Jerry and Juan Carlos have arrived safely in Columbia - and it definitely had lots of twists and turns!

They flew through the night, arriving in New York this morning to find that both of the final legs of their trip had been cancelled!  I will share Jerry's texts from throughout the day to give you a glimpse into our Lord's wonderful intervention, covering and protection!

4:54 am    We've been standing at the ticket counter here in NY for about 1 1/2 hours...still no ticket to leave from NY.  They are working on it but nothing is opening up- God knows!   I think this might be some of the discipline we are entering into- the training starts now... :)

They just got us on to a flight to Panama City then Bogota (a city not on our original flight plan) then Bucaramanga and finally a drive to Lebrija...we are having an adventure already! God is good!!

12:23 pm     Just landed in Panama City- still taxiing, we have 20 minutes to make our next flight to Bogata!  Exciting day!

We just made it on to the Bogata flight- easy peasy! Whoo!   This is a 1 1/2 hour flight, then two hours layover.  It has been exciting so far!  We will see what God has in mind from here!   Juan Carlos is doing well and seems happy to be on this side of the Equator!   When we were flying to New York the plane was quite cold but as we hit the jet way here, it was  hot and humid!

5:02 pm    We just got off the plane in Bogata- have two hours and then a flight to Bucaramanga, and finish the day with a van ride to Lebrija.

Hola'- When I was trying to board on to this last flight into Bucaramanga, my ticket wasn't good- either in Panama or New York they gave me one for another flight later in the night, even though Juan Carlos and I received them at the same time- we were all stymied for a time but God had a way and now we just landed in our final airport at Bucaramanga!  Because of the mix up my baggage may come in at a different time-  but I am sure Kay is praying, so all should work out just right!   Pastor Fernando was coming into Bogata to meet us there but he had cancelations too, so he is spending the night in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.   The Conference doesn't start until Sunday evening, so we will keep praying for all the participants until we are under way!  Our adversary is not liking this whole event- Rev. 12:12

8:22 pm    I have met  such sweet saints here already...  After 24 hours of traveling, some of the brothers wanted to take me out to eat- I told them I wasn't very hungry, maybe just some soup...I thought we would just stop somewhere but they drove for about an hour to find just the right place!  We are all having soup!

We are not sure how the connections will be for communicationg from here on, but Jerry promises to write as often as he can. It will be my joy to pass them on to you - and I would just like to thank all of you who are praying and fasting - you are a critical part of this trip! sue

Lord we pray Your Holy Spirit will fall on every soul that walks through the door of the restaurants, homes, the school, drives on the street, walks by, sticks their head in - every soul who Jerry and Juan Carlos come in touch with. Let it be a circulating wave of blessings, going back and forth.

Our trust is in YOU Lord.
