Today we visited Kibera - the largest urban slum in Africa

Over a million people live in this slum without clean water, legal power lines,  sewer or garbage collection among countless other hardships. In the midst of all of this is a beautiful bright spot- another school we are privileged to support - KidStar Academy!
We hope that the slide show below will encourage and help you to pray! You'll see - new toilets (one with a seat) and the other kind of toilets too. And you'll see Judy - the one in the photo with the polka dot suit! She used to be the headmistress at KidStar Academy with Alex but she wanted to start a pre-school program that is desperately needed in the Kibera Slum.

Also included is Alex and the new headmistress at KidStar - Judy #2 and a picture of through the Streets of Kibera from KidStar School to Judy's new Pre-school.

We've also included Alex on the new building site at KidStar and lunch break for these girls who are about to graduate from high school. And don't forget about lunch time - this is one of the most exciting parts of the day! They are now serving porridge at breakfast, a balanced lunch and special assistance for homes with little or no food...amazing! It's a hearty, balanced meal that tastes good, even if a couple of the faces look a little funny!
