The teachers we have been working with in these schools are well educated, openly share their faith and teach not only in their subject areas but also hygiene and character development!  Life is hard for them, most have families and try to provide for them on a $100/month teaching salary. Even though life is anything but easy, they stay because they believe it is a calling from God!   Today, we took them on  half day field trip to a National Park that has all kinds of wild animals roaming around free- Lions, Cape Buffalo, Ostriches, Zebras, Giraffes, etc.! They had a great time! It ws a rainy morning for the early morning field trip, but it stopped, by God's grace, just as soon as we got started!

We began with prayer and they were filled with excitement because, even though this Savana is within City boundaries, no one has ever been able to see it before! They said, normally we just don't have time for such things, but they started laughing, telling stories and walking arm in arm when we were allowed to get out!  It was an amazing transformation! They just couldn't imagine that they could ever do such a thing together.  God is so good! He not only wants us to stay true to the task but He is also so very gracious and generously knows how to heal and refresh our spirits!

Color me jealous - I would love to go to a park where animals roam free.
