Jerry got his phone back for part of Saturday and Sunday - hurray! -  and was able to send some pictures and thoughts from Columbia:

There are always beautiful views of Bucaramanga, across the valley from us. Then, just outside our windows- it is a beautiful jungle area with all kinds of strange animal noises, especially at night! God is so creative and loving!!

There is a picture at night from our common area, where we line up military style in formations for instructions. I slipped into another line to take this picture...just stunning!

In stark contrast to where we are staying is a picture of a kids' train that travels through an amazing mall that is several stories high and covers acres and acres! The shops are very expensive... but at at the same time, 1 mile away from it, is great poverty. On our way there we saw people with all their belongings wrapped up in blankets, walking up steep hills with little ones. on their way to the southern US border.  Greed and selfishness will face us all on the day of judgement Ezek. 16:49,50

What a contrast to the slums of Kenya. And then compare it to what we have. And it's not easy to say we are an overfed country when there are kids starving and living in poverty right here. Yet greed is greed. We need to constantly look UP.
But Our Jesus is needed in the heart and soul of every person on this earth. Not one of those is better or worse than the other. Jesus loves us all, died for us all, and was raised for us all. Just repent and say "Yes" to Jesus. He'll take you just the way you are. But He loves you too much to leave you that way.

Continuing to pray for revelation, refreshment and insight from the Holy Spirit during your time at the School of Christ. You are both dearly missed and I’m excited to hear more testimony that comes from this time!!

Ouch - the Ezekiel passage sure describes my lifestyle - abundant food and careless ease, What you are seeing brings the reality of poverty home.
